Florida is one of the most picturesque and diverse states in the United States. From beautiful suburbia to beautiful beaches, from hip strips to more peaceful sites and sounds, Florida has it all. When you visit Florida, there are five places that absolutely must be on your list.

1) Key West

If diving and snorkeling are activities you love, then Key West is the perfect part of Florida for you. An island city, Key West is a part of the popular Florida Keys known for its breathtaking coral reefs. In addition to the water activities, persons who love art and history will enjoy sites like the Harry S. Truman Little White House, the Ernest Hemmingway Home and Museum, and the Keywest Lighthouse Museum and more.

2) Miami

Often referred to as the Magic City, Miami is the home to the famous South Beach coastline and some of the hottest cafes and clubs this side of the globe. In many ways, South Beach Miami lives up to every stereotype. It is the go-to city for both the young and hot and the young at heart alike. As far as the people go, Miami is as diverse as it gets.

3) Tampa

Tampa is one of the most family-friendly cities in the state of Florida. Many of the attractions within the city feature adventure-filled activities geared toward all members of the family. Everyone from grandma to your favorite baby cousin is sure to enjoy partying with pirates during the Gasparilla parade, or a heart-racing roller-coaster ride at Busch Gardens.

4) Orlando

Perhaps best known for being the original home of the famous Walt Disney World theme parks, Orlando is one of the most popular destinations in all of Florida. It is frequented by tourists and Americans alike. Orlando’s theme parks alone are estimated to pull an approximate average of over 50,000 persons each year. However, theme parks are not the only must-see sites in this beautiful city. Other fun activities and sites include The American Art Museum, the Kayak Eco-Tour, The Harry P. Leu Garden, and popular spots like The Wine Room, among others.

5) St. Augustine

St. Augustine is often referred to as the old city due to its historic charm. Still, the city is much more than that. In addition to the wonderful museums and historic sites, St. Augustine also has a very vibrant nightlife and a rich dining out culture. The food here is as flavorful and unique as the city itself. St. Augustine is also home to the famous 3-hour food and wine Tasting Tours which expertly explores the culture and history of the city through the palette.
